This GIF of the day Digital Google Apps writing activity gives students the opportunity to brainstorm, predict, and observe information from the animated GIF. Students will write details from the picture (animated GIF), observe and write what they think is happening, predict what they think will happen, title the picture, and then write a paragraph using either vocabulary or spelling words from their list about the picture of the day (GIF of the day).
This activity is a Google Slides (only) activity and can be used in the Google Classroom with 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, or 6th grade students.
Included:
– 20 different January themed GIFs of the day (pictures of the day).
– 40 slides total: The first slide covers pre-writing activities such as observing details, inferencing, predicting, and brainstorming. The second slide has a spot for students to add vocabulary words (from their class list from the week) and a box for paragraph writing.
